Thanks go out to Kingspan Insulated Panels UK and especially James Patrick for their kind invitation to host the most recent NFRC sheeting and cladding technical meeting at their offices in Flintshire. The visit was arranged by Kingspan’s Technical services Manager James Patrick who is also a technical committee member.

The highlight of the visit was the guided tour around their in-house fire testing centre that they have and getting a better understanding of the different test methods and what a material needs to undergo to be classified as A1 or A2. But the truly memorable part of the day was putting the A1, A2 testing into context when viewed alongside a large scale full system 9.7m high BS8414 fire test.
