SkillBuild 2024–Recap

The finalist were the highest scorers from seven regional heats that took place in colleges across the country earlier in the year.

Joe Gallagher from Bolton College took the coveted gold medal.

Alfie Waddington, a student at Leeds College of Building was awarded the silver medal, and Hamish Morgan, of Edinburgh College, was awarded the bronze.

A 'have a go' showcase ran alongside the competition and NFRC used this opportunity to showcase roofing as a professional career. Overseen by Ben Rowlands and in collaboration with SIG Roofing & LSTA. SIG Roofing gave children the opportunity to have a go at slate shaping and LSTA encouraged participants to have a go at basic lead bossing techniques using code 5 lead and tools.

The event was attended by over 400 school children.
