NFRC Scottish Roofing Awards Raises Thousands for Charity
As we closed the awards luncheon on Friday afternoon, guest host Tam Cowan and NFRC Scotland Chairman, Scott Miller, announced a very special charity auction for Cystic Fibrosis Trust, as chosen by NFRC President, Colin McCorquodale.
Inspired by Allan of Briggs Amasco, and their personal connection with the cause, Jo and Steve of The Evana Group enthusiastically drove bidding into the thousands, taking the total amount raised to over £7,000.
Jo and Steve will now enjoy their prize of a meal with Scott Miller and Tam Cowan at one of Glasgow's top rated restaurants.
NFRC would like to thank all those who donated on the day and give special thanks to Jo and Steve for their generosity. We'd also like to thank Allan for sharing his story.
Speaking on the event, Colin said
"This year's Scottish Roofing Awards once again held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow with a record attendance. This exceptional event celebrated the success of regional members across all roofing disciplines. Our host Tam Cowan entertained the audience and presented the awards to the very proud winners.
This event is always a key event in the Scottish NFRC calendar and as it was my first event as President it felt particularly special. I was delighted that we have raised more than £7,000 and counting for my chosen charity The Cystic Fibrosis Trust."
