Have your say: Labour Party National Policy Forum (NPF) Consultation 2023

The Labour Party is consulting on a number of policy documents including ‘Delivering Growth’ and ‘The everyday economy’, in order to decide which policy positions it will retain and take up. Feed in to an NFRC response.

The Labour Party is permitting submissions from third parties on a set of six policy consultation documents, the most relevant of which for our Members are ‘Delivering Growth' and ‘The everyday economy'. To feed in to an NFRC response, please get in touch with NFRC's Policy Officer. You can include in your email answers to any or all of the following questions:

What specific action on skills does the government need to take to help businesses in our industry? (1a. Additionally, what action from government on green skills would support your business?)

What specific action on technology does the government need to take to help businesses in our industry?

How can government projects—schools, hospitals, social housing and more—help small construction businesses? (3a. Would the end of the practice of holding retentions help with this?

Have you had negative experiences with late payment or retention stemming from public projects?).

How could the government be supporting businesses like yours to easily deliver green technologies, such as solar PV?

Please submit your answers to the Policy Officer by close of play on Friday 10 March. Answers can be formal or informal, long or short, as we will consolidate everything into the final response.
