NFRC members play a key role in delivering roofing contracts for the UK and national governments, regional and local authorities.

The Construction Playbook sets out key policies and guidance for how public works projects and programs are assessed, procured and delivered.

The Scottish Government provides A Client Guide to Construction Projects aimed primarily at public sector clients.

Most public roofing works are delivered via Tier One contractors. NFRC promotes through its membership of Build UK Central Government Payment Performance in accordance with the Statutory Guidance for Contracting Authorities and Suppliers.

NFRC members carry out re-roofing contracts on schools, hospitals, prisons and other public buildings.

NFRC members who are also registered as part of the NFRC CPS can self-certify public re-roofing works in England and Wales.
